Military Career as a Single Mom
Few challenges are as difficult as those faced by a single mother. These women have to juggle their careers, studies, or personal pursuits with the continuous and selfless care of her children and their needs. Often, this entails such a person denying herself to provide for her children. Without a partner to help, time and money can both be very constrained. In my case, many may consider my decision to pursue a military career even while I am a single mom as a little crazy, at the very least. However, this is an important decision I have made both for myself and my children. It has affected my life in important ways, including the way I feel about myself, the way I care for my children, and the outlook I have on the future.
